This is a great way for MPS staff to get the required staff development points from their own room! View these videos as an individual or a whole group. Next, fill out the form showing how you will use the knowledge gained. Last, submit the form to your building representative.

All Levels- Learn techniques that will help you reach gifted, including different types of instruction.
Secondary- Learn techniques that will help you reach gifted, including Socratic discussions

Classroom Management- To learn new strategies for questioning, communication, and test taking tips for students.

Curriculum Improvement- Choose from the following areas

Language Arts I - Here, the topics include literature circles, assessing writing, using   
 technology to teach writing, and integrating the dramatic arts
Language Arts II - Here, the topics include classroom management as well as teaching
Webquests, test-taking skills, and fables.
Math I- Here, the topics include tandem teaching, integrating technology, differentiated instruction, and using math games.
Math II-  Here, the topics include aligning teaching with standards, integrating art and geometry, and using the streaming technology.

Technology Integration-

Principal/leadership Growth- Choose from the selections listed below

Principal I- Visit two schools where principals have established collaborative learning communities and learn how to create and communicate the shared mission, vision, values, and goals of your school to transform it into a collaborative learning community.
